Huang Yisheng

Painter and Ceramic Artist

Huang Yisheng graduated from Shantou Arts and Crafts School and has spent more than four decades working across painting, illustration, visual design, and editorial art. His practice is rooted in Shantou, a coastal city in southern China known for its distinctive Chaoshan culture and historic port heritage. His experience has shaped an expressive approach to figures, animals, flowers, and scenes drawn from everyday life and cultural memory.

A member of the Shantou Artists Association, Huang has presented a solo oil painting exhibition and contributed to public cultural projects through illustrated historical narratives. In his ceramic work, confident brushwork and a strong sense of storytelling bring warmth, movement, and individuality to each piece.

Yan Wenlu

Ceramic Carving Artist and Representative Inheritor of Jingdezhen Intangible Cultural Heritage

Born in 1985 in Poyang, Jiangxi, Yan Wenlu began studying ceramic carving under master Zhong Fuhong in 2000. Years of practice and exploration have shaped his distinctive approach, combining precise carving, layered relief, and traditional ceramic imagery with a personal artistic language.

Yan is a National First-Class Technician, a Senior Arts and Crafts Artist of Jingdezhen, and a Representative Inheritor of Jingdezhen Intangible Cultural Heritage. His works have received several national and provincial awards, and Pure Rhythm is held in the collection of the Celadon Exhibition Hall at Zhejiang Vocational Academy of Art.
