Behind the Objects
From workshop hands to everyday rituals.
Forming the Shape
Where every piece begins.
Every ceramic piece starts with a form.
Behind every cup, bowl, and plate is a careful balance of proportion, function, and comfort. Years of ceramic making experience have helped refine forms that are practical for everyday use while remaining visually balanced and pleasing to live with.
The shape of a piece influences far more than appearance. It affects how it feels in the hand, how it sits on the table, and how naturally it becomes part of daily life.
Refining the Details
Small details make a lasting difference.
After shaping, each piece passes through a series of careful hand-finishing steps.
Edges are refined, surfaces are smoothed, and handles are carefully attached and blended into the body of the piece. These adjustments help improve consistency, comfort, and overall quality.
Many of the details people appreciate most begin at this stage. A smooth rim, a comfortable handle, and a balanced feel in the hand all contribute to the experience of using a piece every day.
Glazing the Surface
Character comes from the surface.
Each piece is carefully glazed by hand before entering the kiln. The process draws on ceramic techniques passed down and refined across generations of makers.
Glaze gives ceramics their color, texture, and visual character. The application process helps create subtle variations that make every piece feel distinctive while remaining consistent in quality.
We are drawn to finishes that feel calm, tactile, and timeless rather than loud or overly decorative.
Firing and Finishing
Where clay becomes something lasting.
Firing transforms clay and glaze into durable ceramic objects made for everyday life.
Fired at temperatures of around 1300°C, the clay body and glaze fuse together to create a dense, durable surface suited to everyday use. After firing, each piece is carefully inspected and finished before continuing its journey from workshop to home.
What began as raw clay emerges as something made to be used, shared, and enjoyed in everyday moments.
