A quiet study in light, line, and porcelain.
Designed by Yan Wenlu and crafted in his Jingdezhen studio, this small-batch tea cup brings together sculptural carving and the delicate translucency of linglong porcelain. Architectural arches travel around the surface, while finely pierced details glow softly when held toward the light.
Yan Wenlu is a National First-Class Senior Arts and Crafts Artist and a representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of ceramic carving. Based in Jingdezhen, he has devoted more than two decades to the study and practice of porcelain carving, bringing renewed expression to this highly specialized ceramic tradition.
A pale celadon-toned glaze gives the cup a calm, luminous finish. Two carved patterns are available: Arched Tracery and Petal Lattice. Each reveals a different interplay of carving, shadow, and light.
With its compact 200 ml capacity, the cup is well suited to green tea, white tea, floral infusions, and quiet after-dinner tea rituals. When not in use, its sculptural form also makes it a distinctive object for display.
Each cup is presented in its own gift box and accompanied by a Chinese-language collector’s certificate issued by artist Yan Wenlu.
